This is an opportunity to join a rapidly growing, yet stable company, with typical hours between 40-60 weekly, March-December  pay starting at $18-23/Hr

What does a typical day look like at ALPHA?

• Arriving to the shop on-time to assist crew leaders with loading trucks & trailer with materials & equipment for the day
• Utilizing hand tools, skid loaders, augers, and tillers to install trees, shrubs, edging, mulch rock, and other miscellaneous landscaping on commercial jobsites
• Maintaining a clean jobsite and vehicle
• Working effectively with other team members and supervisors

This is an opportunity to join a rapidly growing, yet stable company, with pay ranging from $60,000 to $80,000, and includes a company truck.

What does a typical day look like at ALPHA?

• Working with clients to schedule installation of projects, coordinating material deliveries, and scheduling crews
• Managing landscape installations for up to 3 crews 
• Plan reading and jobsite layout 
• Skid loader/equipment operation
• Onboarding/Training/developing new team members

ALPHA Landscapes is seeking an experienced plant health care technician to join our TEAM!

ALPHA Landscapes started with a pickup truck and a wheelbarrow in 2018 and has now grown into one of the largest commercial landscape construction firms in Iowa with top of the line trucks and equipment, and 25+ employees operating out of our Slater office.

What does a day as a plant health care technician/manager look like?

• Monitor and maintain ongoing and completed landscape projects under warranty to ensure plant survivability by applying fertilizer, pesticides, and anti-desiccants, and noting any non-warrantied impacts to the landscape

• Create schedules for watering crews based on soil moisture levels, weather conditions, and plant material deliveries

• Complete identification and removal of invasive or undesirable plants/weeds on select ecological restoration and landscape projects

• Provide guidance and recommendations to project managers on installation of native landscape plantings and seeding

• Assist with miscellaneous landscape tasks such as; Plant/jobsite layout for installation by crews, plant watering

• Future: monitoring of nursery plant holding area, potential management of bare root nursery tree potting/production.

ALPHA Landscapes is seeking a full time commercial landscape estimator/project manager.

ALPHA Landscapes is an established commercial construction focused landscape firm working with general contractors and developers in central Iowa.

We are looking to bring someone into the company with experience bidding, and managing projects as a commercial GC or subcontractor, and give them the guidance to be successful in the landscape industry.

Job Description:

• Manage 1-2 assistant PMs to facilitate workload
• Quantity takeoffs
• Quote procurement from suppliers and subcontractors
• Create competitive, profitable proposals
• Following up with clients post-bid
• Backlog forecasting/management
• Complete Submittals/RFIs
• Putting projects under contract (Confirming scope and contract amounts, setup orders and create POs)
• Change order/document management
• Schedule coordination with clients, subcontractors, and ALPHA production superintendents
• Provide direction to superintendents and field supervisors when there are scope questions.
• Attend pre-construction coordination meetings when required.
• Assist office administrator with AIA billings as needed

Requirements:

• Self motivated individual who can increase sales and revenues.
• Must have ability to manage your time and work effectively with little supervision

• Capable of preserving confidential or sensitive information

• Effective time management, organization and multi-tasking skills

• Able to prospect new clients/projects

• Strong communication skills

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel

• Proven customer service skills

• 3 years of previous construction estimating or project management experience
